I have been hosting Gong Baths at the studio ever since its opening in 2018. In 2024 I enrolled with the College of Sound Healing, training as a Gong Practitioner, and will now be offering Gong Baths on a monthly basis at the studio.
But what is a Gong Bath? A Gong Bath can be a powerful, transformative experience of sound and vibrations. Gongs have been used as a tool for healing for centuries. A deep massage of your entire being at a cellular level, the waves of complex sounds bathe and re-tune us on every level. Blockages may be shifted and changes are processed as part of the healing process.
Gongs bring many people a sense of deep relaxation, timeless and renewal. Each stroke to the Gong invites a tone, from that tone other tones bloom; these progeny tones carry on building as each stroke evokes more and more tones that are sustained towards infinity.
Volume and Vibration – unlike any other sound, the Gong is the sound of total resonance, within it are all the sounds and harmonics of the sound spectrum both within and beyond our hearing ranges. For this to happen the Gong sounds ebb and flow with a depth of sound and vibration. If we allow it and can relax into the experience, letting go any expectations or the need to follow our thoughts in a rational, linear way, we can have an experience of newness and a re-connection to timelessness and joy.
